International Foreign Currency Drafts are an easy and inexpensive way to send money abroad.

Often referred to as ‘drafts’ or foreign currency cheques, International Foreign Currency Drafts are simply bank or company cheques that can be authorised in over 50 different currencies.

Drafts are ideal for making a payment or sending a small amount of money overseas. They are also secure in the sense that they cannot be cashed. Also, if a draft goes missing, Travelex is able to stop payment and either refund or reissue the draft.

When purchasing a draft, you will need to provide the name and address of the recipient of the draft, the amount, and the currency you wish the draft to be issued in. Your draft will typically be ready for with-in 24 to 48 hours. Once you have the draft, you can then post it to the overseas recipient and they will be able to deposit the draft directly into their bank account.
